Trezeguet to return to ‘The Rock’?
By: Christoffer | September 6th, 2009
Even though the market closed 6 days ago, there are still rumours of players coming to Monaco. Except for this rumours will first happen in one year from now.
David Trezeguet our former starlet, have made up his mind after 8 year at Juventus. He wants to leave the club after this season. But he does not want to play for another one of Europes top flight clubs. He wants to return to where it all started! That’s right, Monaco! According to sources as Skysport, Corriero Dello Sport and Goal. Trezeguet said in an interview that he wants to end his career in the ‘club of his heart’. Think of our strikers in one year, with Gudjohnsen and Trezeguet! He will take the paycut that will be necessary for a move to Monaco, but he wants to help Monaco return to Europe once again! This is seriously awesome. One of the best strikers will propably play for Monaco as of next season just because he loves the club so much. How sweet! And great for the team. Hopefully he stands by what he said and returns next year.

well, it’s nice if he really means it. let’s see if he changes mind if one of the bigger teams makes a bid.

No. Please change mind and come to Marseille!

I also heard that he was interested in staying in Italy. So I wonder what he will actually do. The only thing we know is that he will not be at Juve next year. Beyond that, who knows.

There’s still lots of things that could happen. He could also go Argentina and play. I’m not getting my hopes up so we’ll have to just wait and see.

Why would he go to Argentina?

Because he is of Argentinian descent and he and his father were huge River Plate fans in his childhood.

But still, from Europe to Argentina? I mean I see Brazil players from Brazil, like Ronaldo, doing that sometimes.
But I think if he went to Argentina he would take a huge paycut and would be throwing his career away. He needs to stay in Europe. At age 31 he still has a good four years of prime playing time left.
If he wants to go to Argentina after that, I would understand, but I don’t understand why he would go there now when he can be a high impact player on a Europa League-type team.

monaco isn’t that bad, but psg would be perfect for imo. like makelele and guilly, plus the club is regaining its competitiveness in ligue 1. something monaco hasnt had for years now

What if Henry decides to return also… that would be something. And besides .. Gudjohnsen don’t get to play. A player from Barcelona comes to L1 and they decide to put him on the bench. Uhm*racist*uhm
