Please Lord, not Baros!
By: Richard | July 29th, 2008
It seems increasingly likely that Piquionne will be joining OL, and instead of getting Kongo Kim in return, we will secure the services of one of the most overrated players in modern memory.
I don’t have anything personal against Mr Baros, but he has been fantastically underwhelming everywhere he has gone and I would rather bring Vieri’s ancient carcass back to the principality than the ‘blank Czech’.
Speaking of Lyon, somehow Monaco managed to defeat them and keep a clean sheet, the only goal of the contest coming in the third minute from Alexandre Licata. I’ve only seen bits and pieces of this match, but I know that Ricardo went for a 4-4-2 this time. The defense played a much more focused match than they did v. OM, but they can thank Ruffier’s highway robbery of Benzema for their clean sheet.
So far my blog has been limited to pretty much stating the obvious; this is because it seemed like big changes were going to happen to the team and I didn’t want to waste time blabbing about players who might get shipped out. However, now I’m bored with that, so look for more in the way of analysis and in-depth player profiles in the near future.

I don’t know what else to say except…
LOL.
Sorry. No one deserves Baros. On the bright side, you’ll probably be getting him for free.

I wouldnt be too unhappy if they play a 4-4-2 with Tenorio-Baros up front. Sure I’d like something better than that but I’m trying to be realistic here. Plus if you got Adu and Menez attacking in the midfield too offensively its not so bad.
