I have been on vacation for some time now so I have unfortunately not been able to write here on the blog. Sorry for that but I see that my man Richard made up for that by keeping yall posted on our great season so far. I was actually down in France for the game against Marseille and I can tell yall that when the whistle sounded for the last time in that game I went absolutely crazy! What a win! But that is not the point, sorry for not posting for a while, but now I am back!

Well, well. Finally we have a coach who brings some consistency to this team. We have 6 wins against 3 losses, and 2 of those wins was against french giants Marseille and PSG. Looks like Lacombe has really made this team come together. We are working on all cylinders at the moment with NenĂª scoring(top-scorer in the league) and Alonso(tied for 1st place in assists) beeing the captain we brought him in for a year ago. We have young players really emerging as key players. Cedric Mongongu beeing a key component in the defense.
And even though we were injury riddled this week against Lens we still put up a good performance and came away with a 2-0 victory. That was without Pino, Costa, Gudjohnsen and TraorĂ©. So this looks like a complete team doesn’t it? And I truly believe that it really is! We have a great offensive unit, our own poor-mans Xavi in Coutadeur and a defense playing great. And Ruffier! There is no words for his performance so far, he is just a great keeper. And we have something that we haven’t had in a long long time. We have depth on the bench. That really showed this week against Lens when we were missing a lot of key players and we still came away with the win! So the question comes down to one thing. Can we keep this up the rest of the season? Yes I think we can. Lacombe is a great coach, and with the way we are playing, we are only getting better. I believe that we are returning to glory in the french league, and believe me when I say this. Europe is not far away. It may not be champions league this year, but it is possible. But Europa League is my expectations for this season! So start believing in better times fellow Monaco fans. Cause they are coming with all the talent we have and the great coaching!
