Congratulations giallorossi!

By: Richard | August 28th, 2008

It seems my superstitions were well-founded. According to the club’s official website, Jérémy Ménez is off to AS Roma for around 14 million euros.

As I have said before, I am sad to see him go, but he seemed to be twiddling his thumbs waiting for his big move anyway. The price is quite also agreeable in my view, and hopefully de Bontin can use the cash to get us a real striker to lead the attack.

Good luck at Roma, Jérémy. As I ‘ve said before in this blog, this is EXACTLY the sort of club he should be going to and I have every confidence that he will become a true star in the Italian capital.

    Richard,
It is truly great to see a fan like you. Most fans are bitter if they see their stars leave for bigger clubs and leave them in the dust. But you appreciate why JM did it and y’all took it all in stride. I’m glad to see Monaco’s fans aren’t the douchebags that you see in many of the Italian fanbases.

I was probably the most excited about Menez being linked with Roma, some might say too much haha, so I just want to say that I think he will become an absolute stud at Roma … Maybe even the next Zidane???

i don’t know about being the next Zizou, but this is a really exciting move. if you’re a young player who likes to attack and take on defenders directly, i can’t really think of a better club to be at than Roma. it should be fun to watch!
